The integration gap between CRM and ERP
Most businesses running Zoho CRM for sales and Business Central for finance, inventory, and fulfillment face the same problem: data lives in two systems and someone has to copy it manually. Customer records diverge, products don't match, sales orders stall because a line item doesn't exist in the Item table. The result is duplicate entry, reconciliation work, and the occasional order that ships to the wrong address.
Hardcoded, one-off integrations solve this temporarily. Then a new field is needed, a module is added, or the API changes — and the integration becomes a maintenance burden that requires developer time for every adjustment.
Configuration over code
Veltro Dynamic Zoho Integration takes a different approach. Instead of writing code for each mapping, it provides a setup framework inside Business Central where administrators:
1. Connect once via Zoho OAuth — Client ID, Secret, and Refresh Token establish the connection.
2. Discover modules and fields — The extension pulls available Zoho CRM modules and their fields automatically, so mapping is visual, not speculative.
3. Map tables to modules, fields to fields — Choose a Business Central table, select the Zoho module, and map individual fields with data-type conversion handled automatically.
4. Set direction and mode per mapping — Each mapping can sync to Zoho, from Zoho, or bidirectionally. Run it manually, on a Job Queue schedule, or in real time.
5. Filter at both ends — Apply Business Central record filters and Zoho COQL filters so only relevant records move between systems.
Record coupling and duplicate prevention
The extension maintains a coupling table between Business Central records and their Zoho counterparts. This means:
- Upsert logic works reliably — Updates hit the right record; new records are created only when no coupling exists.
- Duplicate creation is minimized — The coupling is checked before any insert.
- Traceability is built in — Every sync run logs status, record counts, and errors.
Sales order protection
For sales orders, the integration validates that every product on the order exists in the Business Central Item table. If a product is missing, the order is blocked and configured users are notified by email. This prevents incomplete orders from entering the fulfillment pipeline.
Built for extension
The starter mappings cover the most common needs:
- Customer ↔ Accounts
- Item ↔ Products
- Sales Invoice + Lines
- Sales Order + Lines
But the framework is extensible. When a new module or custom field needs synchronization, administrators add the mapping in the same setup — no new development project, no code deployment.
Who this is for
Teams where sales and customer management happen in Zoho CRM while finance, inventory, order processing, and fulfillment run in Business Central. The integration keeps both systems aligned with less manual effort and greater data consistency.
